It's great to hear you can indeed grab those elusive £9 rooms. You're right also that the site crashes due to the high traffic. However, the one time that happened to me I phoned their customer service and the very kind Travelodge lady agreed to hold the room for me, even giving me her name in case of a problem. The Travelodge site will crash and you can't book more than one room at a time. I've booked the Tower Bridge Travelodge, alas at £49 a night for my trip to the World Travel Market in November 2009. The Travelodge site will crash and you can’t book more than one room at a time.
