It&#039;s a close call and I wouldn&#039;t put anyone off booking either Claridge&#039;s or The Dorchester.  

It just depends on the style of service you seek and the facilities you value most.  If you&#039;re going for a spa leisure break then I&#039;d maybe suggest The Dorchester, whereas for shopping and fine dining maybe Claridge&#039;s just shades it.  On a business trip I don&#039;t think it would make much difference as both carry an equal wow factor.  

The important thing to know is that if anything is not right then both sets of management will move heaven and earth to rectify the situation.

My ultimate advice in the current economic situation is just to book the ultra-deluxe hotel which offers you the best deal.  In the end it always comes down to value for money!</description>
