Best London hotel spas: the Renaissance.

by Rajul on February 2, 2010

The Renaissance Chancery Court hotel's spa has established a solid reputation for a number of years as one of London's best spas

The Renaissance Chancery Court spa has a solid, long-held reputation as one of London's best spas

Looking for a spa with a touch of “Oriental exotic”?

Look no further than the spa at the Renaissance Chancery Court Hotel.  It has a definite Eastern feel to it, complete with orchids and rockeries, wooden bridges over pebbled streams and organic limestone walls.

If the Dorchester Spa conveys “opulence” and SO Spa by Sofitel, “luxurious indulgence”, Renaissance Chancery Court is all about “pure relaxation”.

It has won a host of awards and accolades.  The Evening Standard recommends it as one of London’s “finest day spas” (2009) and the Daily Express says its therapists are arguably “among the best in London”.

There are plenty of options to select from, including the spa’s famed Ashtanga massage and a Men’s Menu.  Couples and friends can take advantage of the specially-designed dual Harmony Massage Room.

Wrap yourself in the luxury of soft, fluffy towels.  Inhale the scents that fill the room as you are massaged with wonderfully therapeutic oils.  And chill out afterwards in the gold-leafed Relaxation Room, sipping on flavoured mineral water and nibbling fresh fruit.  It’s a true sanctuary in every sense.

No wonder this spa’s reputation precedes it.  Call directly on +44(0)20 7829 7058 to book or email info@spachancerycourt.com.

The hotel attached to the spa is not too shabby either, currently ranking an impressive number 25 on TripAdvisor with a reputation for friendly service.

It’s well-located near Holborn – ideal for a historic pub crawl – as well as being handy for Theatreland and the fun-filled delights of Covent Garden.

The only downside is the fact that breakfast is a bit expensive, though you’re not short of other options in the area.  Or you could read our London brunch guide and plan to make your stay even more relaxing.
