The Mandarin Oriental’s spa is housed in the basement of this well-known Knightsbridge hotel. It is the epitome of elegance and indulgence.
Dark granite passages lit up by tea-lights and decorated with fresh orchids lead to the Amethyst Crystal Steam Room and 8 treatment rooms. They claim the ambience is one where “time stands still” and you can see why.
After entering the spacious and airy rooms with their thoughtful decor, you’ll instantly feel a Zen-like calm wash over you. You might then decide to take a dip in the Vitality Pool or relax in the dry and wet saunas.
Or you might prefer to retire to the relaxation room to wind-down with delicious herbal teas. All spa treatments use natural ingredients prepared by the award-winning Aromatherapy Associates.
It has consistently been voted one of the world’s best city spas and also gets super online reviews from its private clients.
If you are not a hotel guest, you’ll need to book a minimum two hours. And while the treatments here don’t come cheap, you are worth it, aren’t you? Call +44 (0) 20 7838 9888 or email firstname.lastname@example.org for details.
Is the hotel itself worth considering? It’s certainly a plush hotel and the service is as you’d expect at this standard. Given however the very high room rates, there are probably better options around at this time.
The Mandarin Oriental is currently at number 251 on TripAdvisor. We’d suggest the nearby Milestone Hotel (currently number 1) which recent guest reviews confirm is at the top of its game. But we would certainly never advise you against trying the Mandarin Oriental’s gorgeous spa.
