Walking through central London, you often pass garden squares with locked gates concealed by tantalising high hedgerows.
You’ll naturally wonder what lies on the other side. Your curiosity can be satisfied during June as London’s secret gardens (normally closed to visitors) will open their doors to all and sundry – for one weekend only!
The festive atmosphere will include special events, tours and children’s activities in some of the gardens. One ticket will give you entry to all the gardens across London throughout the weekend.
The “Open Garden Squares Weekend” is organised by the London Parks & Gardens Trust, with almost 200 gardens taking part each year. You can read the history of London’s historic garden squares here. Don’t miss the chance to take a peek inside some of London’s loveliest garden squares!Lexham Gardens in Kensington is consistently rated as one of London’s best garden squares and also benefits from a children’s play area
