A Crowne Plaza "snore absorption" room - if he falls in the gap you won't hear him snore!

There’s nothing worse than been kept awake by your partner’s snoring, especially when you’re staying away from home.

Which is why the Crowne Plaza London City are putting the world’s first “snore absorption” room on trial.  It includes soundproofing and a specially-designed pillow to help guests sleep.  No more piling pillows on top of your loved one’s head or pinching noses until they wake up gasping for breath; this room will (hopefully) have you both sleeping like babies in no time!

The “snore absorption” room has walls which are soundproofed using egg box-style foam to reduce noise vibrations and a sound-absorbing headboard will also be installed to muffle any echo from snores.  The room has been trialled at the Crowne Plaza London The City hotel as well as nine other properties in Europe.  No news as to whether or not the anti snoring rooms will be rolled out to all Crowne Plaza hotels.

But the Crowne Plaza London The City isn’t the only London hotel to serenade guests with the prospect of a better night’s sleep.

The 5 star Milestone Hotel is also getting in on the act.  You may recall that this is the hotel of the “Tiny Noticeable Touches” – which is why it has consistently managed to rank in the top 3 TripAdvisor London hotels.

A Deluxe King Room for a "Sound Sleep Experience" at the Milestone Hotel

The luxury boutique hotel in Kensington has just launched the “Sound Sleep Experience” which combines techniques from sleep and performance specialist Tej Samani with London’s “most comfortable beds”.

As well as a one-hour tailored, private consultation with Samani, guests can take things up a notch with the Alpha Sleep Pod.

The pod is a matchbox-sized machine with earphones that pump out audio to match your sleep dilemma, whether you can’t fall asleep, can’t get back to sleep or just want a power nap.  Sounds a bit like being hypnotised to us, so just make sure you listen to the words before you let your mind go!

The Sound Sleep Experience package starts at £976 per room per night based on two people sharing a Deluxe King room.  That does include a treatment in the spa, a healthy energising breakfast, top ten tips at turndown to give you the best chance of slumber and one hour’s consultation with Tej Samani along with a sleep gift bag.
