Snow loads of apres ski fun at “Montague Lodge”!
During the summer months, the Wood Deck at the Montague Hotel is popular for barbecues and cocktails – only last month we enjoyed a cigar and whisky event there as well as some alfresco dining back in July. And this year the 4 star luxury London hotel has added a winter season too!
The area will be transformed into a magical “winter wonderland” – with pine trees, falling snow, reindeer, snowmen, ski racks, piste maps and strings of fairy lights and lanterns. The highlight is a bar serving a selection of 12 different flavoured vodkas – one for each day of Christmas. Think alpine lodge for a bit of après without having to lug your skis around!
To help combat the cold there will be a sizzling barbecue serving grilled bratwurst and mini turkey burgers. Roasted chestnuts, mulled wine, mugs of steaming hot chocolate and big woolly rugs are offered to keep you cosy and warm at the height of winter.
But like all winter resorts, you’ll need to purchase a lift pass to enjoy the fun and these come in three tiers. The cheapest option is the ‘Personal Pass’ which comes in at £20 and allows one person entry to the winter wonderland between 3pm and 5:30pm every day. Included in the price are 3 flavoured vodkas and a food tasting platter.
The next pass up is the ‘Christmas Party Pass’ - a great alternative to the usual Christmas lunches. Priced at £83 per person, it includes a vodka taster on arrival, a choice of 3 flavoured vodkas with winter canapés, a Christmas-themed BBQ buffet, Christmas crackers, half a bottle of wine, mineral water and a DJ for that all important disco dancing.
Those who want to combine a visit to the winter wonderland with a stay at the hotel should choose the ‘Guest Pass’ . The pass combines entry to Winter Wonderland with a two night stay including full English breakfast daily and one festive afternoon tea. Those on a Guest Pass will also be able to try 3 flavoured vodkas and a food tasting platter. The pass costs £205 per room per night for two people sharing a superior double room.
“Montague Lodge” officially opens in December but a press preview party with free vodka, bratwurst, mulled wine and surprise treats is being held on Thursday October 13th. Please email firstname.lastname@example.org if you are a blogger, journalist or event organiser and you’d like to attend.
