Camden– less family, more funky (not that they’d say funky in Camden). This is a Christmas light switch-on for the cool kids, with a host of bands and comedians performing. Date TBC.
Carnaby Street– Hip Carnaby Street has arguably the capital’s most unique display, featuring unusual lights and decorations in fitting with each year’s distinct theme. Thursday November 10th.
Covent Garden– One for the arty crowd. The piazza and market will be transformed with a cutting edge light installation from United Visual Artists. Wednesday November 9th.Covent Garden is one of the most atmospheric venues in London to feel the Christmas spirit (image credit below)

Oxford Street– The big Oxford Street switch-on is a world-famous event, with some of the biggest and best lights. You’ll be joined by thousands of revellers and a whole host of celebrities. Tuesday November 1st.
Regent Street – The Regent Street switch-on is another star-studded affair and its dazzling lights will brighten the sky around the famous shopping street. Tuesday November 8th.
Westfield– Live entertainment, special guests and a grand display will draw crowds to Europe’s biggest shopping centre for its switch-on. Justin Bieber will do the honours this year. Monday November 7th.
