Firmdale’s new London hotel is set to open on 1st June and reservations are now open for the 91-room property.

The group already has seven other London hotels, as well as Crosby Street Hotel in New York, and each of them exemplify designer Kit Kemp’s unique and recognisable style. The Ham Yard is no exception, featuring the modern British colours, patterns and textures that she is renowned for.

The hotel centres around a tree-filled garden courtyard, incorporating outside seating for the bar and restaurant. At the centre of the garden will be a bronze sculpture by Tony Cragg.

Hotel Chatter reports that there are three different types of room (Superior, Luxury and Delux) and four types of suite (Luxury Junior, Deluxe Junior, Courtyard and Terrace). Every room has floor-to-ceiling windows in a warehouse style and look out either into the courtyard or across London.

The bathrooms are a mix of granite and oak, with double basins, a separate shower and a deep cast iron bathtub in most of them.

Recreational rooms include a drawing room and library, Soholistic Spa & Gym, restaurant and bar, theatre and private dining and event rooms, including a 50s style bowling alley. There are also 24 residential apartments, 13 retail stores and a rooftop garden for hotel guests, with ‘sweeping views of London’. As an extra bonus, WiFi is free for all!

Reservations are open, so you can book your stay now – with rooms starting at £400 a night.
