A fourth Hotel Indigo will open in London in 2016 – Hotel Indigo London Barbican. This follows the already established hotels at Tower Hill, Paddington and Earl’s Court.

The new build will have 101 bedrooms, a gym and a restaurant, which will reside in the arched cellars of a former brewery. An additional 35 apartments and office space will occupy the building too, which by the renderings looks like it will fit in nicely with its surroundings.

The hotel group IHG, which owns Indigo, has also announced another hotel opening recently – another Holiday Inn at Watford Junction, which will open this summer. With several other brands under their umbrella, including Crowne Plaza and InterContinental, IHG certainly has a large proportion of London’s hotel market covered, with over 70 properties in the city.

These latest additions cover new areas and provide accommodation for different types of traveller, one a central boutique hotel and the other an affordable option on the outskirts.
