Andaz Liverpool Street

The Andaz Liverpool Street Hotel is celebrating the arts and culture in its home of East London with a new installation, beginning this July and running through to next spring. ‘Room with a View’ will feature four different artists, all with distinct styles and outlooks, who each will hand-paint a room in one of the hotel’s Large King bedrooms.

The event begins on the 7th of July with illustrator and author Chris Price, working with his collaborator (and wife) Delisia Howard. Guests who stay in their room from July 2014 to July 2015 are promised a ‘modern interpretation of their hometown in London’s East End’.

Patrick Vale, who is best known for depicting cities and architecture, will paint the second room, to be unveiled in October this year. In the new year, a collaboration of artists called ILoveDust will have their turn, followed by Patrick Morgan, whose work explores themes from pop culture to modern living, in April 2015.

The hotel’s General Manager, Tim Flodin, said of the project: “We are incredibly excited to be launching ‘Room With A View’ with such a diverse group of talented artists, for our guests and Londoners alike to experience a view of East London culture at its best at Andaz Liverpool Street.”

All the rooms will be available until July 2015, once they have been opened up to guests. The hotel’s Large King rooms are available from £348 on week nights (Sunday to Thursday) and £246 on weekends, from 7th July 2014 until July 2015.
