London is full of grandiose hotels – hotels of huge proportions, with hundreds of rooms and suites. But then there are the quieter lights of the capital, the exclusive destinations with just a few rooms but a high level of service and a unique concept. Library on St Martin’s Lane is the latter.
The recently opened hotel and private members club unsurprisingly has a literary theme, and with just six rooms it’s the kind of place that’s never going to get too noisy or crowded. The few guests that the hotel does have, however, are well catered for by a bar and a gym. A suitably named restaurant, The Kitchen, is set to open in the property on September 24th.
Library’s opening is a reminder that a luxurious stay doesn’t have to mean a super-sized property. The only catch is that to stay at the exclusive hotel, you have to be a member, voted in by a committee.
