The Lanesborough’s butlers start tweeting behind the scenes!

by Laura on February 25, 2015

It’s not long now until the Lanesborough‘s greatly anticipated grand reopening.

More than a year since its doors closed for refurbishment, the prestigious hotel will be throwing them open again this spring. Now part of the Oetker Collection, this beloved establishment will surely be revealing its new incarnation to much applause and acclaim.

If you can’t wait for the relaunch, you can keep up with the latest happenings from the hotel’s very own butlers on their dedicated Twitter account.

Followers of @LanesButlers will get all the most recent news, including sneak peek photos of the building’s exteriors and interiors. As well as updates on the progress of the refurbishment, the butlers provide expert tips on all things butlering. If you need help navigating shirt-collar styles or have had a candle-related disaster and need to know how to get wax out of cloth, the Lanesborough’s butlers are here to help.

The butlers certainly aren’t lazing around doing nothing while they wait for the finishing touches to be put on the property…

While everything’s being polished off, they’re busy guiding us through dress codes, recommending events around London and even helping us choose the right shape of sunglasses for our clueless faces.

In fact it seems that in true butler style, they love nothing more than giving advice. You can read LHI blogger Andrea’s interview with Head Butler Daniel Jordaan, where he was kind enough to give some top packing tips to make your luggage just that little bit more refined (and organized).

The butlers at the Lanesborough are extra special. Unlike at other hotels, they’re available to all guests, and not just those in the most exclusive suites. So any time you need a helping hand, whether it’s to unpack or fetch your favourite snack, you need only ask and your request will be met with pleasure.

When the hotel reopens in late spring this year, its look and feel might have changed, but the butlers will surely still be providing the same top-notch service as before. So follow @LanesButlers to keep up with the latest news about the hotel and to get a glimpse behind the scenes!
