Every Hotels debuts in Piccadilly focused on 4 star “essentials”.

Last year, GLH announced the launch of three new brands in London, including the 5-start Clermont and 4-star Amba and Every Hotels.

Every is setting up camp in former Thistle properties and opened its first hotel at the end of February in the former Thistle Piccadilly. The hotel is the first of 50 that GLH aim to open worldwide by 2020, so it’s setting the standard for the rest of the brand. Every aims to offer a 4-star hotel with all the frills in the bedrooms, but without the facilities that GLH chief exec. Mike DeNoma says go unused in so many 4-star establishments.

So you get a comfy Hypnos bed, super-fast WiFi, a Nespresso machine and a minibar (no alcohol though – boo!).

There are other little comforts too, from an HDMI cable to full-length mirrors. In the Deluxe rooms, you get all that plus fluffy bathrobes and a bigger TV (40”) in a larger room. And then there’s the Junior Suite which has a lounge. They’ve also extended the ‘Choose Your Room’ service originally launched at Thistle London Euston last year. Guests can pick their exact room before they arrive, using a 360 degree virtual tour and photos to aid them.

Although the basis of Every is to curtail the excess found at many 4-star hotels, they still have the essentials on offer.

Guests can have breakfast at the hotel (arguably the meal you least want to go out for) and they’ve not got just a normal gym, but a Techno Gym.

Guests with disabilities will be happy that they work with several organisations to make it an accessible London hotel. They include facilities such as disabled parking, wheelchair access and hard-of-hearing induction loops. You can also check out their Local Guide for ideas about the local area.

As Hotel Chatter points out, prices are OK for the location from £159/night. Coming soon: hotels in Hyde Park and Bloomsbury. And 46 more across the world in the next 5 years: yes Every Hotels will soon be everywhere!
