Was your one of your resolutions for the New Year to learn something new? St Pancras Renaissance Hotel has you covered with their new series of complimentary masterclasses.
The classes aim to celebrate the skills of people in the King’s Cross neighbourhood. They will run weekly in the hotel’s new dining establishment, MI + ME. The first is on March 2nd 2016 and will be Life Drawing and Fashion Illustration classes run by fashion house, Atelier Tammam.
This first masterclass will consist of a 45-minute Life Drawing session with a model and will be followed by 45 minutes of Fashion Illustration.
The Head Designer at the studio will introduce basic drawing skills and teach practical tips for beginners and amateurs. A 15-minute break over wine and nibbles will give students a chance to chat and socialise. The classes will run each week throughout March, on the 10th, 14th and 24th from 6pm to 8pm. They’re free to attend but you need to book in advance.
Once the masterclasses have kicked off, local organisations will offer classes exploring food, art, photography, design, journalism, literature, and more.
The hotel’s new MI + ME eatery is named for the Milk and Meat carriages first used on railways in the Victorian era to transport fresh produce to London.
The dining establishment sources the best cheese and meat from UK farmers and cheesemakers. It specialises in deli style sandwiches and meat and cheese boards, with full meals such as burgers and mac’n’cheese on offer too. Drinks come from the next generation of microbreweries and independent suppliers, with craft beers, wines and cocktails.
