Tune Hotels already has five London properties, but now they’ve added to their guestroom count with an expansion to their Liverpool Street hotel.

The add-on to the East London hotel means there are now 34 extra rooms, bringing the hotel’s count to a total of 217. Not only are there new rooms, but they also have a shiny new design. The brand new rooms have in-room mood lighting control and 40″ televisions.

The rooms are bright and modern, and they still offer all the usual perks of a Tune hotel room too. And are the swanky new rooms more expensive than the old design? Of course not!

Tune Liverpool Street is a great location to explore trendy East London. Guests have excellent access to Shoreditch, Bethnal Green and Clerkenwell. But at the same time, it’s easy to get to the Tower of London and Southwark or hop on the tube to the West End.

If you want a fun way to get to know the local area, exploring the nearby markets has to be at the top of the list.

Tune’s recently published blog post on the top markets in East London will give you some guidance on where to go. Your choice of market might depend on what sort of shopping you’re in the mood for.

If you fancy some fresh fruit and veg, New Spitalfields Market is the one for you. Borough Market is the place for a more refined, eclectic offering of food and drink. There’s everything from Bratwurst to kebabs.

Lovers of floral arrangements should head to Columbia Road Flower Market for a bouquet to spruce up your hotel room or perhaps give as a gift.

But it’s Old Spitalfields Market and Brick Lane Sunday Market you want if you’re looking for a little bit of everything. Their varied offerings will keep you browsing (and maybe buying) for hours.

If shopping isn’t for you, there are other ways to explore East London. Tune Liverpool Street is the ideal base to do it from, putting you in prime position for the area (email us for our blog’s exclusive Hot Deal!).
