Earlier in 2016, the first UK Hyatt Place opened 15-20 minutes away from Heathrow. Not satisfied with just the one, the brand will be opening a second Heathrow property on the airport’s doorstep (almost).
The current Heathrow Hotel on Bath Road will undergo an extensive renovation to become the UK’s second Hyatt Place. It will be run by Cycas Hospitality under a franchise agreement. Once rebranded, the hotel will have 350 rooms, each with the Hyatt Grand Bed, 42-inch HD TVs, free WiFi and a Cozy Corner sofa sleeper for extra sleeping space.
The hotel will also feature a Gallery Market eatery/shop, which will be open 24/7, a bar called Coffee to Cocktails, meeting spaces, and a 24-hour gym. Guests will also be able to use the brand’s Odds and Ends service, which provides anything they have forgotten to buy or borrow for free.
The current Hyatt Place at Heathrow is in Hayes, a good 15 to 20 minutes’ drive from the airport.
There’s a handy shuttle directly to and from the airport, although the 4-star hotel does charge an extra £7 each way. Parking is available and can by accessed by bus, with the nearest train station a couple of miles away. The new hotel offers a closer option, though the first Hyatt Place will still be available too.
The Bath Road hotel is only 5 minutes from Heathrow by car. The Hyatt Place brand aims for style and comfort, providing seamless experiences to guests. The new hotel will be the fifth Hyatt branded hotel in the UK. Apart from the existing Hyatt Place, there are two Hyatt Regency hotels (in London and Birmingham) plus the Andaz London Liverpool Street.
The Hyatt Place Heathrow Airport is planned to open in early 2017 and will hopefully avoid confusion with the Hyatt Place Heathrow Hayes.
