2017 is definitely set to be a year of openings, reopenings and renovations for London’s hotels. The Hyatt Regency London The Churchill is one of the first to reveal extensive renovations this year.
The luxury hotel has revealed the results of their multi-million pound refurbishment, which includes six new bedrooms. The focus of the refurbishment was the hotel’s namesake, Sir Winston Churchill. The hotel had help from Churchill’s family to bring his character to life in the hotel’s new decor.
The Churchill revealed new meeting rooms along the theme last autumn and has continued it throughout the hotel. The new touches include original artwork, fine fabrics, and iconic designs that reflect Churchill’s love of craftsmanship and British tailoring.
The new look of The Churchill Bar & Terrace was designed by Spinocchia Freund. Its bookshelves feature books inspired by Churchill and his wife Clementine.
The Young Winston sculpture by Lawrence Holofcener has pride of place on the terrace, where staff will place a fresh rose in the lapel each day.
The three new meeting and event spaces also have designs inspired by Churchill. They have been updated to cater for modern meetings and events. They include digital signage, wireless audio-visual control, and Bring Your Own Device capability too.
They also have creative planners, menus, and a banqueting team to help guests plan events in one of the three new spaces or the other eight spaces available in the hotel.
The refurbishment includes a new suite package in collaboration with Selfridges.
Life is Suite includes a VIP welcome, suite accommodation, and a behind the scenes experience at Selfridges on Oxford Street. Guests will get a personal contact at the store during their stay at the hotel. They also get free delivery to the hotel and personal shopping assistance.
Guests can enjoy the new look of the Hyatt Regency London – The Churchill as a hotel guest, visitor to the bar, or attendee at a party, meeting or event.
