London’s Tune Hotels have been an excellent budget option for travellers as they have expanded into different areas of the city since 2010. However, now Queensway wants to go their own way with a fresh new brand.
The first Point A Hotels will open in Shoreditch and Glasgow, neither of which are currently Tune Hotels.
The Shoreditch hotel is a new build with 181 rooms while the Glasgow property with 122 rooms has been remodelled. Both hotels are already open for bookings online.
Point A Hotels aims to offer affordable rooms in a central location. Prices start from £69 in London and £39 in Glasgow. If you had a good experience with staff at a Tune Hotel, don’t worry – they’ll be making the transition too.
However, Point A won’t be operating on the same model as Tune. While you won’t be paying for anything you don’t need, all rooms come with free WiFi, TVs, and hairdryers as standard.
Further Point A Hotels will be opening in London in March in Kings Cross, Canary Wharf, Westminster, Paddington, and Liverpool Street. Their brand promise is that they offer “Everything you need to set you up for what you’ve come to do”.
While it’s Queensway’s first time launching their own hotel brand, they have over 40 years of experience in hospitality including the management of one of our favourite little boutique gems over at Montagu Place, so they know how to treat guests.
Point A Hotels is making the most of local neighbourhoods too, promoting eateries, shopping, and public parks close to their hotels.
They have curated the best of the best from Shoreditch and Glasgow on their website, including shopping at Boxpark and music and theatre at Shoreditch Town Hall as well as comedy at the Flying Duck and the Gallery of Modern Art in Glasgow.
Find Point A Hotels on Facebook, Twitter and Instagram. You can keep up with the hotels as they open and see images from the new establishments. Register with them on their website and you can get 5% off your stay and hear about the latest news and offers.
Point A Hotels in Shoreditch and Glasgow are taking bookings now, with 5 more London hotels opening in March. We suggest you take advantage and book ahead while they are still a teensy bit under the radar!
