Occasionally, an opportunity comes up to stay somewhere rather unusual in London. The latest one-off London stay comes in the form of a night in one of the pods of the London Eye.
TripAdvisor Rentals has teamed up with the Coca-Cola London Eye to create a pop-up hotel room in one of the pods of the well-known landmark. The special pod will be furnished with homewares from Wayfair, and will host one lucky couple on March 30th 2017.
The winners are sure to get a view to remember, 443 feet up in the air at the top of the attraction, and with glass on all sides. However, it’s certainly not for anyone who’s afraid of heights!
If you’ve been keeping up with this season’s interior trends, you might have noticed a bit of a tropical theme.
Much like the interiors collection you can see at The Hoxton Holborn’s new room, the pop-up pod hotel room will have a rainforest theme, inspired by a five-star forest getaway. Mixing nature and urban chic, there will be plenty of foliage, fairy lights, and luxury linens.
If the decor and views aren’t enough to delight you, dinner and a bottle of champagne will be served in the pod too. And don’t worry about being stuck at the top. It will be staffed all night, and you only need to contact attendees if you want to come down to use the toilet or relieve your cabin fever.
The prize includes just one night in the pod, but it also comes with a three-night stay in a TripAdivsor rental apartment nearby.
It might not have 360-degree views, but it does have a glass ceiling and floor-to-ceiling windows, so there will be plenty of natural light flooding in. It’s a contemporary and vibrant place, and comes complete with a garden terrace, so it’s ideal for relaxing after a long day’s sightseeing.
The competition is open to anyone who resides in the US, UK, Canada, France, Germany or Spain.
You just need to submit a few details on TripAdvisor’s competition page before the 19th and you could be in with a chance of winning. If the winner is travelling from abroad, they will even get flights included in the prize.
