The London Marriott Hotel Regents Park has unveiled their multi-million pound renovation, which is due for completion in September 2017.
So far, the hotel has renovated the lobby, executive lounge, meetings and events spaces, and bedrooms. The bedrooms will be complete later in the year. The renovations include seven new bedrooms, meaning the hotel’s configuration has been changed.
The hotel’s rooms now have 49″ smart TVs with Apple TV, international power outlets and walk-in rain showers. The interior design has been inspired by local London, as well as neighbouring villages and parks.
The new meetings and events spaces were revealed last autumn and include four new meeting rooms and a transformation of the hotel’s largest events space, Primrose Hill.
The space now has room for 300 people, remote-control projectors and screens, an integrated PA system, and other innovative technology. Technology is a focus for the new spaces, as is flexible working, with rooms that can be configured in various ways.
The renovated lobby now has dedicated zones for guests to relax and socialise. The lobby level also has the first hotel-based Carluccio’s restaurant, including a bar and terrace.
General Manager, Tony Owen, said, “We’re thrilled to be able to provide a ‘first look’ at our new offering, which has been a large and exciting investment for the business.
“We recognise that modern traveller needs are constantly changing and the new refurbishment ensures that our offering falls in line with these demands. A key growing consumer trend is wellness and, coupled with ever-evolving technology, it’s vital that we constantly deliver the best possible experience for our guests.”
The hotel’s current wellness offerings include the fitness club, with cardiovascular equipment and freeweights, swimming pool, sauna and steam room. Perhaps in the future, they might also aim to make improvements to their health and fitness areas.
