The clocks have moved forward, denoting that we’re now in British Summer Time. We’re beginning to see a bit more sunshine, so even if it’s not quite summer, we can say that spring has sprung with a little more confidence.

And with the warmer weather come lots of things to do outside – without having to wrap up in 10 layers or warm ourselves with mulled wine. One of the biggest events of the season is the Chelsea Flower Show from May 19th-23rd.

Whether you’re a Royal Horticultural Society member keen to get in early or you’re happy to enter as a member of public, the RHS Chelsea Flower Show is an annual must for anyone passionate about gardening and landscaping. And of course you need somewhere to stay that’s convenient, comfy and perhaps even as passionate about the show as you are. Check out these three London hotels that all have something special to offer Show attendees…

The Beaufort – best for little luxuries

If you need a refuge after a long day ogling orchids and swooning over sunflowers, you can’t beat The Beaufort.

Book direct with The Beaufort at the best guaranteed rate

Tucked away on a quiet cul-de-sac in Knightsbridge, it’s only a 20-minute walk or short taxi ride away from the show.

When you’ve had your fill of the event, you can relax with a complimentary cream tea in your room or the hotel lounge. Their Spring Booker offer is available until May 24th, just long enough for the Flower Show.

Book for a minimum 3-night stay and you’ll get 15% off the best available rate and free breakfast. There are lots of little luxuries included in your stay, from complimentary WiFi to drinks in the sitting room between 3pm and 11pm. And you’re round the corner from Harrods too!

The Beaufort have informed us that they have an additional “secret offer” available exclusively to their newsletter subscribers – sign up here and call them on +44 (0)207 584 5252 quoting the Chelsea Flower Show for details.

The Goring – best for 24/7 garden indulgence

When you’re in London to see spectacular garden displays, you may also want your hotel to have a beautiful garden. There are a few London hotels with English country gardens, but The Goring’s has to be one of the most gorgeous.

Check rates at The Goring

Their private garden is the perfect place to continue enjoying the great outdoors after the Flower Show. When not playing croquet on the lawn, you can admire the pretty flowering borders. And of course, the garden isn’t the only thing The Goring has going for it. They’ve just reopened their doors after a renovation – and celebrated their 105th birthday.

Mandarin Oriental – best for the complete package

Sometimes when you book a hotel for a special event, you want your experience to be all-encompassing and immersive. Everything should come in one package, with food, activities and more themed around the event.

Check rates at the Mandarin Oriental Hyde Park

And if that’s what you want, the Mandarin Oriental will sort out a Chelsea Flower Show stay for you with lots of extra benefits.

Their On the Fringe package includes a night’s stay at the hotel, English breakfast for two, two tickets to the Flower Show, a private ride on the Mandarin Oriental rickshaw to and from the show, a complimentary fragrance consultation at Harrods Salon de Parfums and a floral-themed afternoon tea for two. Harrods will also be creating floral decorations for the hotel, so you’ll be completely surrounded by the Chelsea Flower Show experience.

So there are several tempting options for horticultural enthusiasts looking for the perfect base within striking distance of the RHS Chelsea Flower Show.

Read up about the show on the official website or on The Beaufort’s blog.
