Claridge’s unveils its Christmas tree!

by Saloni on November 27, 2012

Christmas is around the corner (apparently) and Claridge’s unveiled its Christmas tree last week, much to the delight of guests and visitors alike.

The Claridge’s Christmas tree unveiling is always keenly anticipated and this year’s has been designed by florist Kally Ellis (founder of McQueens). Although it looks a tad gloomy in the pic, the reality is quite stunning. We recommend you drop by and take a peek perhaps on your way to indulging in one of the magnificent Claridge’s afternoon teas

Christmas trees are an annual tradition among luxury hotels and last year we compiled a blog of the top London hotel Christmas trees.  They certainly help to spread a bit of Christmas cheer among both staff and guests.  But it’s become a bit of a contest in recent years with leading hotels vieing with each other to be just that bit more eye-catching than the others!

Last year’s Christmas tree at Claridge’s (by Lanvin designer Alber Elbaz) was very different in style as the picture below shows.

Claridge’s is also offering a no-holds-barred “Timeless Christmas” package this season.  The luxury package costs £795 per person per night and includes: a mammoth 7 course Christmas day lunch and a horse-drawn carriage ride around Mayfair on Christmas morning, promising to make it a Christmas you’ll cherish forever.  For full details see their website.
