Street food is all of the rage in London with food markets galore throughout the city.  The Hilton Metropole has jumped on the back of this trend and created a Christmas package which offers guests the chance to pick their food from a set of stalls rather than the traditional way of dining at a table with set courses.  Hilton Metropole is also currently having its lobby refurbished, so don’t be surprised by the construction work taking place.

The Market Banqueting package has a medieval spin with wooden carts, chalkboards and crates fully stocked with food so that guests can help themselves.  There will be everything from salads, smoked fish and cooked meats to the more traditional mulled wine, roasted chesnuts and pretzels – sounds pretty Christmassy to me!  There will be hog roasts, German sausages, curry, paella, cheeses and a whole load of desserts too.

With stalls surrounding the outside of the room there will be tables in the centre and plenty of decorations and Christmas trees to add even more festive cheer – as you can see it looks stunning when it’s all set out.  Once guests have eaten the entertainment will begin in the form of retro games with a festive spin – hoola hoops at the ready!
