Diane von Furstenberg unveiled at Claridge’s.

Diane von Furstenberg - designing women's clothes since 1970 - makes her hotel room design debut at Claridge's
Diane von Furstenberg is a renowned fashion designer, responsible for some the world’s most iconic creations over several decades, including the famous wrap dress. Her name is synonymous with immaculate taste.
The Belgium-American fashion legend has also been a regular guest at Claridge’s over many years. She has now personally designed several showcase suites for the hotel which were unveiled a few weeks ago.
Celebrity-magnet Claridge’s is already well-known for its distinctive Art Deco styling and majestic surroundings. Her mission was to introduce her own distinctive imprint, while retaining the originality of each room and suite.

Explaining her approach to the design, she made the following statement: “I wanted to respect the architecture and the formality of the grand hotel room, but at the same time make it relevant to today’s lifestyle… I don’t want the hotel to change, I just want it to be more of a fantasy.”
We’ll let you judge if she’s succeeded in her mission and if this is enough to tip the head-to-head versus the Dorchester and the service-obsessed Lanesborough or the reinvigorated Langham in Claridge’s favour.
These luxury hotel titans already compete fiercely with 4 of London’s most expensive suites, including the Langham’s amazing Infinity Suite.
