45 Park Lane to open on September 1st.
The latest luxury hotel offering from the Dorchester Collection, 45 Park Lane, is all set to open on September 1st 2011. The new luxury boutique hotel will have 35 rooms and suites and a bar named - wait for it – “Bar 45″. The interiors have been designed by Thierry Despont, who also worked on the Dorchester and Claridge’s. From the images it looks like the interiors are classically English with a number of modern touches.
The hotel’s CUT restaurant will be Wolfgang Puck’s first in Europe, seating 76 diners. A selection of American-style steaks, lobster and ribs will be offered along with an extensive wine list. There is also a free library for guests to use – in line with the recent trend for London hotel libraries.
Elsewhere there is a media room which can be hired as a private cinema with a 103 inch 3-D television, 3-D glasses and surround sound system.
The hotel features ten different room types including five suites. All rooms have the latest technology including a Bang & Olufsen television. Every bathroom will have a bath and free standing shower - in line with the best London hotel bathrooms. The most expensive room is the Penthouse Suite on the 9th floor which is accessed via a private lift so that other guests need not see who is arriving or leaving! The suite has panoramic views over Hyde Park and can be converted into two bedrooms.
Room rates will start from £395 but if you book a stay between September 1st and September 11th you can pick one up from £350. And the hotel is also recruiting for anyone interested in jobs at a top London hotel.
