Interactive “pub talks” return to The Stafford.
“Pub Talks” at The Stafford returns this year following a successful timetable of events last year – including the magnificent winetasting in the 360 year old cellar featured on this blog.
The 5 star hotel (with a skilled and charming 5 star housekeeper) belonging to the Kempinski Group will be hosting the free events through September and October. The talks will once again provide patrons with intimate access to in-house experts, artists, and luxury brand ambassadors.
Lasting around an hour, the interactive talks will dive deeply into a different theme from food to fashion to photography - and more.
The series kicked off a few days ago with a “Gourmet Soirée” led by the hotel’s Executive Chef, Brendan Fyldes. Heaven for foodies, the first talk saw the hotel’s wine cellars turned into a culinary classroom. Not only did participants learn how to prepare food they also got to taste it!

Forthcoming events include a Bespoke Treasures talk (September 6th) to discuss fine custom jewellery and what it represents, led by London jeweller Patrick Wyatt. There will also be a fine wine and cigars event with resident Master Sommelier Gino Nardella and fine cigar purveyors Hunters & Frankau on September 19th and a photography event led by renowned portrait photographer Alistair Morrison on October 4th.

The Bar Manager who will lead the cocktail class
But the event we’re most excited about is the Mixing with a Master cocktail masterclass which gives participants the chance to step behind the bar and try their hand at crafting cocktails with the bar manager at The Stafford’s legendary American Bar – one of our top 10 London hotel bars.
