The fourth hotel we visit for our free WiFi touchdown campaign is the Radisson Edwardian Heathrow, a luxury hotel that also offers complimentary WiFi to its guests, just like the Mercer Street Hotel where we kicked off this initiative. The Radisson Edwardian Heathrow is not your typical airport hotel. This was obvious as soon as we entered the building: the luxurious chandelier in the lobby floods the entire room to create an elegant ambience. It’s a million miles away from the sterility of a typical airport hotel.

A lot of care has been taken here to create a similar feeling to one of the Radisson Edwardian collection’s central London hotels. All hotel rooms include a flat screen TV and free WiFi, with many of the recently-refurbished ones decorated with brand new furniture. The Radisson Edwardian Heathrow is unique among Heathrow hotels in its free WiFi which other nearby hotels may charge £8-£12/delegate extra for per day. This can potentially lead to enormous cost savings for a big event.

The hotel’s 42 meeting spaces are able to accommodate between 2 and 600 people each. The fact they are multi-purpose and versatile lets you combine your booking by renting one, two or even three different suites that can expand into each other. You could for example have a reception in one room, a conference in another and refreshments in the third - and take advantage of the free WiFi available in the entire hotel.
And the free WiFi which we tested all day works flawlessly – proving that those Heathrow hotels which charge extra for this amenity are certainly not able to offer better quality to justify their exorbitant extra charges.

All in all, a great little find: and a particularly good choice for corporates seeking a free WiFi Heathrow hotel which doesn’t feel at all like an airport hotel - often better value than typical meeting rooms in London.
