London hotels triumph at European awards.
The European Hospitality Awards are a highly-anticipated event and this year the Renaissance St Pancras was the star of the show
Hotel staff from across the capital walked away with five coveted awards at the recent European Hospitality Awards. The awards, voted for by hoteliers from across Europe, were established to recognise European hotels that have made an exceptional contribution to the hospitality world.
In a lavish ceremony on November 4th at London’s Landmark Hotel, Coworth Park scooped Green Hotel of the Year, Eccleston Square Hotel bagged In-Room Technology Innovation of the Year, Corinthia Hotels in London topped the Hotel Spa of the Year category and The Dorchester’s General Manager Roland Frasel was named Hotelier of the year.

The Eccleston Square Hotel won the In-Room Technology Innovation of the Year at this year's European Hospitality Awards.
But the biggest triumph was for the St Pancras Renaissance, which walked off with two awards: refurbishment of the year 2011 and the highly-contested European Hospitality Awards “Hotel of the Year”.

The St Pancras Renaisance Hotel was the ultimate winner of the year winning the Refurbishment and Hotel of the Year awards.
The St Pancras hotel, which has only been open since May following a massive £150m renovation when we pronounced it one of the city’s top 10 luxury hotels, beat the likes of The Savoy and Soho House Berlin to win the much-coveted titles. The judging committee described the gothic-style hotel and its luxurious amenities, like the unique Booking Office Bar, as “setting a new benchmark for hotel standards across Europe.”

The hotel’s general manager Kevin Kelly, who was shortlisted for the Hotelier of the Year award, said of the honour: “we are thrilled to have won these two amazing awards… the refurbishment of this iconic building has been a long time in the making and we are delighted that all of the efforts have been acknowledged.”
