Plan your Christmas party with HotelMap.

by Holly on December 5, 2011

The revolutionary HotelMap has a new feature for the festive season.

We’ve talked before about HotelMap, the revolutionary free service that lets you choose a hotel based on its precise location.  If you don’t remember, here’s  recap: it’s a geo-driven hotel search and booking tool. Tell HotelMap a location and it will show you nearby hotels in a street map format.  It also gives you the hotel’s rates and impressively alerts you to hotels that are offering discounts and which are fully booked.

And now with Christmas party season in full swing, HotelMap has a new use: find a place to stay near the venue and stop fretting about getting ready in the office loo or returning home on the nightbus.  If you’re arranging the office party or a private one with friends, you can create one handy HotelMap and send it to all attendees with the custom-generated URL.  It’s so user-friendly you wonder why nobody thought of it before.

The user-friendly HotelMap service only needs the venue name, postcode, event and date

I created the above hotel map for an imaginary Christmas party my work is having (there’ll be tons of imaginary canapés and imaginary free drinks all night!) and can personally attest that it was ultra simple.  All I had to do was tell HotelMap the name of my party venue, its postcode, a name for the event and the date, and it spat out the map in an instant.

Now I can easily see which hotels are nearby, which are fully booked, which are out of my price range…  I can even click to see nearby tube lines and car parks.  It’s hotel booking done in the simplest way possible!
