Our recent visit to the Chesterfield Mayfair Hotel to test its free WiFi also showed how it has been transformed by colourful festive decorations.
From the stunning Christmas tree in the lobby to the decorations decking the hotel’s Terrace Bar and a wonderfully-intricate gingerbread house, only a Scrooge wouldn’t feel the Christmas spirit at this luxury 4 star hotel!

You’ll also find a very special structure in the lobby – the annual Chesterfield Gingerbread house, specially crafted by the hotel’s pastry chef each year. Unfortunately for the chef, this isn’t the only one he’ll have to make before December 25th arrives: apparently over-zealous guests keep trying to prise open its tiny doors, forcing him to craft replacements!

If you fancy checking out the Chesterfield’s decorations for yourself, you can coincide your visit with one of several Christmas events. Throughout December, festive afternoon teas (including Christmas cake) will be served in the conservatory – also famous for its highly original “poet-teas“.
On Christmas Eve a special four-course candlelit dinner will delight guests in Butlers Restaurant. And on Christmas day there’ll be an even more magnificent seven-course gourmet feast, also in Butlers.
