A little while ago, London Hotels Insight went to check out the Winter Wonderland at the Montague on the Gardens with its vodka bar, BBQ, pine trees and snowmen. Now it seems that The Berkeley is getting in on the festive theme too with the hotel opening its own movie-themed Winter Wonderland last month, complete with a cosy rooftop cinema.
The area - usually the Berkeley’s Health Club & Spa – has been decked out with Christmas trees so that it resembles a forest. Guests can keep warm with Moncler blankets, hot water bottles and the all important hot chocolate with marshmallows. There will also be fluffy cushions, mince pies and outdoor heaters for when the weather turns too cold.

The Berkeley offers 5 star central London luxury
The rooftop cinema will be showing a selection of winter classic movies including ‘Miracle on 34th Street’ and ‘Bridget Jones’ Diary’. The Berkeley’s Winter Wonderland will stay open until 31st January 2012, so there’s plenty of time to visit. However we’d suggest booking ahead as the showings sell out fast with only four seats on offer each night!
The Winter Wonderland cinema package costs £55 per person which isn’t bad considering you more or less get a private cinema. Tickets for non-guests are restricted to weekdays with weekends reserved for guests at the hotel who also get to access the cinema for free. The hotel are currently offering ‘Winter Welcome’ rates starting at just £225 per night – not bad value for a 5 star hotel of The Berkeley’s calibre.
