Radisson Edwardian Heathrow’s stunning chandeliers: photo blog.
On a recent visit to the Radisson Edwardian Heathrow for a free Wifi touchdown, we couldn’t help but notice its assortment of beautiful chandeliers. The hotel, which prides itself on being the antithesis of typical Heathrow airport hotels, is decked out with opulent, glamorous furnishings - and its grand chandeliers are the icing on the cake.
The bold light fittings inject a definite sense of old-school grandeur into their surroundings, quite the opposite of what you’d expect in your average airport hotel. Let’s take a closer look at my five favourites:
1. The Brasserie Restaurant

This modern-looking chandelier is modelled on autumn leaves. The intricately woven golden branches and leaves reflect the light stunningly.
2. The Corridors

This Art Deco inspired number is the most subtle of the five, but no less beautiful. With its crystal teardrops it softly diffuses the light and frames the hotel’s artwork perfectly.
3. Bijou Bar

This huge, silver chandelier hangs low from the mirrored ceiling of the trendy Bijou Bar; its image is reflected, creating a dramatic effect.
4. The Conference Room

Another Art Deco style chandelier, this time mimicking the shape of the Empire State Building’s tiers; they’re the perfect sumptuous addition to the hotel’s formal conference room which also happens to be one of the most popular wedding venues near Heathrow airport.
5. The Lobby
This glinting, glittering, disco ball of a chandelier is the showpiece of the Radisson Edwardian’s lobby, offering a fitting welcome to delegates arriving to use one of the hotel’s 42 on-site Heathrow meeting rooms.
