Free WiFi touchdown @ New Providence Wharf Hotel.

We have arrived for the Free WiFi Touchdown at Radisson Edwardian New Providence Wharf and were greeted by these funky chandeliers!
Not long ago we visited Radisson Edwardian New Providence Wharf for a free WiFi touchdown, to showcase the hotel’s facilities to our readers and big up the hotel for its free WiFi. It is weird that we enter 2012 and yet there is still a disparity between the expectations of most travellers (who consider WiFi a basic necessity) and the big-brand luxury hotel chains which choose to ignore this obvious fact.
But the Radisson Edwardian New Providence Wharf “gets it” and we were excited to visit – not just because we enjoy the underrated charms of Canary Wharf but also as we thought we might run into Rihanna who was performing at the O2 the next day. But first things first, we arrived and immediately requested a tour of the hotel! The photos below are our own…

Natural sunlight is a reoccurring theme as natural daylight floods many of the rooms, especially those which have gorgeous views of the Thames!

The luxurious penthouse suite even has a view to the O2 - maybe with binoculars you can spot a celeb, but then again if you rent this suite you might already be one!
The hotel’s proximity to the Canary Wharf business district makes it a popular choice not only for business travellers but also organisations in need of London meeting venues.
And the hotel caters very well to this market not only by providing free WiFi but also in its room features: for example, an ironing board and iron in all bedrooms to make sure that visiting executives look sharp for their presentation in one of its varied meeting rooms in Canary Wharf.

The Radisson Edwardian New Providence Wharf even has a business centre with laptops, printers and other office equipment available for guests.

The hotel's meeting spaces, like Private Rooms 1 and 2, are adaptable and many so they can accommodate meetings with different number of attendees.
The hotel is also popular for leisure travel because of its access to the Westfield shopping centre in East London. Furthermore, you tend to get better value here than at central London hotels of a similar standard because the rooms are extremely spacious.
An added bonus is the hotel’s spa which is open to the public so you can literally let off steam in the aromatic crystal steam room; or perhaps try out the stone oven sauna or special “experiential” shower; and potentially the panoramic Relaxation Room, perhaps after a workout in the gym.

The relaxation room is very zen and you can sit back, enjoy the view and listen to the soothing relaxation music in the background.

The River Room is ideal for receptions and is surrounded by huge grandiose windows with breathtaking views over the Thames.
With the holidays now over and with companies back to business, the conferencing season will soon get into full swing.
