We tested the free WiFi from the bustling Quince Bar at the swanky May Fair Hotel where we spotted lots of guests happily and productively online
We recently dropped by The May Fair Hotel to test its free WiFi – an amenity which seems surprisingly scarce in London’s top 5 star hotels.
Having arrived at the hotel in the early afternoon, we were surprised to see how many guests in the hotel’s Quince restaurant and bar were connected to the internet from their laptops and other mobile devices. In fact, the stylish Silvena Rowe restaurant was packed to the rafters; ranging from people using the complimentary WiFi to conduct productive business meetings with colleagues to tourists browsing the net to plan their afternoon’s activities while enjoying afternoon tea.

After firing off a live tweet from the hotel, we then enjoyed a tour of some of the hotel’s luxurious signature suites. All are colour themed and breathtakingly decadent as you’d expect from one of London’s hippest hotels. We were particularly impressed with the versatililty which is attractive not just to visiting celebrities and their entourage but also for companies seeking out stylish meeting rooms in Mayfair.

With two bedrooms, two bathrooms, a kitchenette and panoramic views to the London Eye and other landmarks, the enormous Penthouse Suite made us giddy with excitement
The hotel is incredibly stylish – no wonder it’s the official hotel of London Fashion Week and the favourite London home for celebrities like Matt Damon, Ronan Keating and Pink. Overall, we could see why the May Fair has been rated London’s most COOL and chic hotel, with the added benefit of free WiFi in its rooms, meeting spaces, restaurants and bars.
