Apex lets wild animals loose in its hotels.

by Holly on February 16, 2012

Apex have just introduced the newest addition to the chain’s family of animal mascots, Parvati the elephant.  We hear Parvati now resides in the Courtyard at Apex Temple Court eagerly awaiting its imminent opening.

The elephant joins a unique collection of animals that bedeck Apex Hotels.

At Apex City of London you’ll find a colourful cow from the 2006 Cow Parade charity auction.  Whilst in the chain’s Edinburgh boltholes there’s True Tiger and Simian the orangutan, acquired from the Elephant Family and Jungle City Auction.  Are these luxury hotels or zoos?!

These quirky statues aren’t just there for beauty’s sake – although they are quite lovely.  Apex uses them to symbolise its commitment to building a sustainable future and minimising their impact on the environment.

The environmentally-conscious hotel chain has won numerous awards for its green policies, including Best Large Hotel at the Responsible Tourism Awards and Green Hotel Group of the Year.

If you visit an Apex, don’t forget to take away a little animal friend to remind you of your stay, the famous Apex duck.  And you might also want to read our review of Apex City of London Hotel with its fabulous free WiFi.
