Promising early reviews at Apex Temple Court.

by Holly on March 16, 2012

Initial reviews are in for the newly-opened Apex Temple Court, which was listed as one one of our top 10 new hotel openings this year…and the early signs look promising with a rating of around 4 ½ out of five on TripAdvisor (though sample size is still low).

Apex Hotels are famous for their ducks and other cute mascots which in fact cheekily hijacked our free WiFi touchdown at Apex’s sister City of London hotel while we tweeted live using its free WiFi.

The positive reviews of Apex Temple Court are unsurprising when you consider its prime position off Fleet Street and within strolling distance of Theatreland and Covent Garden – as well as some of London’s best historic pubs, as recommended by my blogging colleage Andrea.

But it’s not just the location that’s getting buzz.  Guest PigletPie raves: “The quality of fixture and fittings was very high, the views over to Big Ben and the London Eye were a treat, all the staff tried so hard and were very helpful.  We’ll continue to use Apex and recommend this hotel to others.”

The staff at the hotel also get praised, as Ruthie51 says: “Staff [are] fantastic, so welcoming, friendly and helpful” whilst Egnaro gushes “Biggest compliment goes to the staff – really friendly and welcoming.  Credit where it is due – this hotel is getting it right from day one!”

The rooms are fitted with all mod-cons and have received positive write-ups as well, such as from Jimg2247: “The room was spacious and very well equipped with free Wi-Fi, large flat screen and a Bose docking station for an iPod.”  In line with London Hotel Insight’s free WiFi campaign, it’s great to hear this hotel has been forward-thinking about this issue from the start.

As the hotel is brand new, its current rank is lower than London hotels with an established TripAdvisor presence, due to the low review sample size.  But we expect it to soar as high as the other Apex London hotels (both currently in the top 25 of over 1,000 hotels in the capital).  So with rooms from as little as £118 a night, we recommend you take one guest’s advice and “try this little gem before it starts getting booked up!”

London Hotels Insight is getting an exclusive show-round next week which we are very excited about, so keep your eyes peeled on our Flickr page and blog for some fresh inside info and exclusive pictures.
