DoubleTree refurbishes fifth London hotel.

Not content with buying and re-branding the two Mint Hotels in London, the DoubleTree brand recently announced the takeover of another hotel to bring its London collection to five.  The new hotel was formerly the Hesperia London Victoria and has been given a partial facelift together with a new name - the DoubleTree by Hilton London-Victoria (quite a mouthful!).

Guests can look forward to checking in as they will receive the famous DoubleTree chocolate chip cookies to help sweeten their stay.

Located bang opposite Victoria rail station, the hotel has 225 rooms and suites - all of which have internet access (sadly subject to an extra charge), flatscreen TV’s, trouser press, mini fridges and tea and coffee facilities.

The suites also enjoy views over the skyline, free breakfast and separate dining area.  Apart from that, there is an Executive Lounge, 8 meeting rooms, a new restaurant (2 Bridge Place) serving European dishes along with a lounge and bar which apparently has free WiFi.

There is also a small gym and pool (both of which are currently under renovation and not yet open to the public).  And what’s more it has been confirmed that the hotel will offer the brand’s signature free chocolate chip cookie to every guest at check-in.

The hotel refurbishment is set to be complete next month although it has already been receiving reviews of its performance under the new management on TripAdvisor.
