Bag a £9 room at the new Tune Kings Cross.

LHI blogger Jules took these exclusive snaps of the finishing touches being completed on the keenly-anticipated new Tune Hotel Kings Cross which will open in early July
Tune Hotels have confirmed that their latest hotel in Kings Cross will open its doors on 9th July 2012. The Tune Kings Cross - one of the top 10 most-anticipated hotel openings of the year - will be the budget hotel brand’s fourth London hotel under its motto of “five-star beds at one-star prices”. The third Tune in Paddington is scheduled for 25th June 2012, so these surprisingly friendly budget hotels are coming at us thick and fast.
The last Tune to open was Tune Liverpool Street, recently reviewed on this blog, following on from the brand’s first hotel in London, Tune Westminster which has now clearly established itself as one of the highest-rated cheap hotels in Westminster.
The Tune Hotel Kings Cross will have 217 rooms, a large reception area and coffee station serving refreshments. It is located on the busy Grays Inn Road just moments from the transport hubs of Kings Cross and St Pancras. With all the planned redevelopment currently taking place in the area, we predict it will be the place to stay in 2013. It’s also next to popular pub and live music venue The Water Rats - rather handy for a late night drink!

I went past the other night to investigate with the boards outside currently quoting room prices from £35 per night. However to celebrate the opening of the Kings Cross hotel (just in time for the Olympics) the group will be holding a £9 room sale - an amazing deal given the great service quality Tune offers within the budget sector.
The room sale will kick off on Wednesday 18th April at 12 noon with 1,000 rooms available at £9 for stays between July 2012 and February 2013. The rooms will sell out fast so be quick to be in with a chance of bagging a budget hotel room in one of the cheapest hotels in London.
