Weekday acoustic sessions liven up Met Bar.
Last year we wrote about the Met Bar’s refurbishment, new menu and fact that they were no longer a members-only bar. Now they’re giving us another reason to visit with the launch of midweek sessions at the Met.
The new midweek ‘Acoustic Mix’ sessions will be a laid back affair with some of the capital’s best emerging talent providing acoustic sets. Running from Tuesday to Thursday between 6:30pm and 9pm, guests will be treated to performances from the likes of Kate Winter Jazz Duo, The Emma Toploski Duo and Farlane at one of the best London hotel bars.

Whilst guests sip vintage champagne (which is served by the glass!) the kitchen will serve up complimentary pre-dinner nibbles. If champagne isn’t to your liking nor your bank balance’s, there is also a huge wine list and cocktail menu. The Met Bar isn’t the only London hotel bar to get in on the music scene; earlier this year the May Fair Bar drafted in Sunday Girl for a Sunday night residency. Whilst last year The Savoy relaunched the famous ‘Stompin at The Savoy’ in the hotel’s historic Lancaster Ballroom.

The Met Bar is certainly used to welcoming musicians, although it is usually on the other side of the stage; before its refurb it was the playground of choice for a host of high profile artists from the Gallaghers to the Artic Monkeys and Girls Aloud. A great choice for after work drinks.
