Premier Inn continues the assault on London.
Budget hotel group Premier Inn, which recently announced 30 minutes of free WiFi in all its UK hotels, is planning to open a massive 20 new hotels at sites across London over the next 2 years. The next will open next month and is the group’s most central hotel yet. Located at number 1 Leicester Square, the 85 room hotel will be within walking distance of many attractions and enjoy easy access to the city’s transport network.
Whilst the thought of staying in the heart of Leicester Square may scare some guests, the new Premier Inn boasts double sound proofing in all rooms. Plus hotel management is so confident the rooms will be peaceful they’ll even offer a 100% refund to dissatisfied customers.

Each room can sleep up to two adults and two children and comes with the usual accessories: remote control TV with Freeview, tea and coffee making facilities, air conditioning, king sized bed, and a desk area with chargeable Wi-Fi internet access.
The new hotel will offer the ‘Premier Breakfast’ in its restaurant (The Kitchen) which is open all day. The last new Premier Inn in London opened in February at Heathrow. Following Leicester Square, new Premier Inns will open in Southwark (behind the Tate), Richmond and also in Blackfrairs.

Whilst out on my travels I also spotted a Premier Inn being built at Waterloo, another key London location right next to the Park Plaza Westminster Bridge – it looks like their opening plans are very much in progress. There is also a fairly new Travelodge in Waterloo – as the two rival budget chains increasingly go head to head in many key locations.
