The Athenaeum teams up with Royal Academy.
The luxury 5-star Athenaeum Hotel, recently featured on our blog as one of the best London afternoon tea hotels, has teamed up with the Royal Academy of Arts to offer art-loving guests a special package which includes tickets to the annual Summer Exhibition.
The Royal Academy’s annual Summer Exhibition, now in its 224th year, is the world’s largest open submission contemporary art exhibition. This year it will run from 14th June – 22nd August (right over the Olympic period!) and will feature a special homage to Matisse’s ‘The Red Studio’ as well as work from artists including Tracey Emin, Gillian Ayres and Antoni Tapies selected around this year’s theme “Raw.”
