Wembley gets a new Hilton.
Whilst most eyes are on Stratford, there is another stadium in London which will also be hosting Olympic events: Wembley. What’s more, a brand new Hilton hotel has opened there in time for the Games. The Hilton Wembley is directly opposite the stadium making it the most convenient hotel to base yourself for events and concerts in the area.

The hotel also features a wall showcasing the greatest events ever to happen at Wembley, Union Jack motif rugs, and an art installation which illustates the River Thames. The business market is well catered for too with a massive ballroom which can accomodate 660 guests, 10 meeting rooms, a business centre, a boardroom and an executive lounge.
The hotel has 361 rooms of which 18 are suites, an open plan lobby, restaurant, 24-hour gym, swimming pool, 9th floor roof bar with outdoor terrace and views of Wembley Stadium (perhaps an option for events which sell out!). If it’s anything like The Trafalgar London rooftop bar, it’s bound to be pretty impressive. The Sky Bar 9 will be open until midnight each day, but for those who want something closer to the ground, ICONS bar will serve snacks and cocktails and The Association restaurant will serve hearty British dishes. At first glance the hotel looks pretty stylish but only time will tell if it can eventually join the ranks of the best Hilton hotels in London.
