Celebrities come to Blakes seeking sanctuary
Blakes is more off the beaten track than other celebrity hotels we’ve featured: it’s a tad west of the centre in expensive yet discreet Kensington. That’s why it’s favoured by celebs seeking refuge and privacy.
The hotel is apparently frequented by the Beckhams, Quentin Tarantino, Leonardo di Caprio and Lindsay Lohan among others. They all have their own preferred suites when they stay there.
It has quite a flamboyant design and rooms which are very individually furnished. This is a different sort of celebrity hotel and more of a discreet sanctuary than the flamboyant May Fair or theatrical Dorchester.

Is it good enough for mere mortals?
Sadly, Blakes is currently-ranked a lowly 499 on TripAdvisor. For the room rates charged it is therefore hard to recommend at the current time unless you manage to get a fantastic deal or upgrade.

The staff are good but the hotel seems to be in need of a good renovation. Some of its unusually-designed suites do remain tempting though.
Blakes is an old classic of a hotel and we look forward to seeing it make a strong comeback!
